I recommend this product
ConsExtravagant purchase, but one to last decades hopefully.
ProsNicer than a brooks, quality product and something different.
This is a lovely saddle and appears much better made than a modern brooks. It is very soft in the middle with the large cut out, and the back isn't rock solid like the rivets on the back of a brooks. My sit-bones are somewhere inbetween the very soft middle and firmer rear and it feels pretty good after only 100 miles. I cannot stand the ridged middle and upward-pointing nose on a brooks, and this feel totally different so far. It's hard for me to recommend if it will be comfortable for you, but the workmanship and quality are very good. Also worth noting this is the updated version with the dark black plastic parts instead of the grey used in the earlier versions. So it looks much smarter. I'll do another review after some longer miles. Great service as ever by SJS.

Leather stretch?
By
22 Jun 2022
New saddle and I've ridden 1,000km (mostly audax). While it's comfortable, I have to increase the saddle tension after every ride (and during the ride a few times) because the leather stretches so much.

Is this much stretch normal for this saddle? I'm concerned that I'll run out of tension bolt before it settles down. It's never gotten wet, btw.
Leather stretch is normal however this sounds slightly excessive, it might be worth getting in touch with the manufacturer directly to see their opinion of leather stretch.
