What Mountain Bike Recommended 9/10 Gold Award - Pricey, but well worth the outlay as it performs beautifully.
A patented design that is by far the most efficient suspension upgrade for hardtails. Saddle clamp to frame insert point (seatpost stack) needs a minimum 145mm. Parallel link design, responds to all bumps with none of the stiction common to all telescoping seat posts. 4" of travel back and down, means there is no pedal activated bob, or compromise on saddle height. At 495gm, the relatively low weight is only 200g more than a regular seatpost. Twin elastomers can be changed to tune performance to weight/riding styles. Use with cover item number 10563.

Without doubt one of the best bits of cycling technology todate. You hardly know it is there but it out performs the Pace suspension forks I have. It really soaks up the bumps. Forget about rear suspension frames with all the extra cost, weight and energy loss. I have used it extensively on the rocky mountain tracks of Andalucia and even with my 100kg weight it gives a perfect ride. Not cheap but worth every penny.

Minimum Rail To Seat Tube Distance Needed To Fit A Cane Creek Thudbuster?
By
25 Oct 2016
We have a Thorn Raven Twin, my wife has her saddle height with the centre of the rails 148mm above the top of the seat tube. Is this sufficient room for a Thudbuster to operate properly? Her seatpost has diameter 28.6mm, will a shim be required?
SJS Customer Service:
Hi,

The Thudbuster LT requires the distance from the saddle rails to the top of the seat tube to be 145mm, so this seatpost should just fit and work without any issues. This seatpost is available in either 27.2mm or 27.0mm diameter so a shim will indeed be required to fit this within your frame.

Thanks.
