I recommend this product
ConsSlightly tricky changing the suspension rubber.
ProsExcellent ride quality with very little layback in compression
Had an LT version for my winter gravel bike and now have the ST version for my Felt5 Road bike. Smaller bit of engineering. Very neat. Takes the bad stuff out of our roads.
Seems very light to me. We’d all do better to think of the extra 2 stone we’re carrying than saving a few grams in kit?

ProsExcelent feel
For a very long time actually till now I am using the LT version of these seatposts. I decided to buy the ST for brompton cycle and I have to say that I was completely astonished from the major suspention upgrade that was done with this addition. There is no way to go back without that suspension ever.- Ps for Bromton there is an extra seatpost to adapt on the 27.2 of Thudbuster ST.
Good for taking out the worst of crappy roads

ConsNot available in a smaller size so I had to take a saw to the bottom
ProsReduces the impact of awful roads
I bought this for my commuting bike as some of the road surfaces on my commute are awful, it doesn't completely smooth everything out but it does reduce the judderyness of a poor quality road surface and I've not felt any jarring jolts up my spine since installing it.

ProsFantastic bump suppressor
Well this is a great product. I cycle on the canal towpath with a road bike with front suspension (Cannondale Slate). The front suspension is good but doesn't protect your bum from the bumps. This makes the whole experience a delight. Worth every penny. Very happy customer.

Conswould like ability to fine tune for rider weight.
Proseasy to fit, size, weight not an issue for me,
I bought this to complement a RIDO R2 on an pedelec bike, I was considering the LT viersion but went for the ST due to not having enough space, does make a big difference on out generaly rubbish road surfaces.

would this work with the setback used forwards to allow me to have my saddle further forwards

No, this product cannot be turned around to bring the saddle closer.
What additional parts do I need to fit it to a standard Brompton seat post?

Cane creek thudbuster St
Thank you
Hi, this will not fit to a standard Brompton seat post without major modification. You would need to cut the Brompton post to get a 'straight' tube, then work out the diameter differences and find a clamping system to secure the Thudbuster. There are no off the shelve parts. Thanks 20/04/2020
How is length measured?

Is it 350mm to the top of the suspension mechanism or to the saddle rails?

Thanks
Hi, it is 350mm overall length. Thanks 29/11/19
Will This Fit A Thorn Sherpa?
By
08 Feb 2017
Hi,

Will this fit a Thorn Sherpa out of the box or do I need to also buy a shim?

Thanks,

Richard :)
Hi,

This will fit straight onto a Thorn Sherpa without any issues.

Thanks.
Is It Possible To Buy A Thudbuster St To Fit My 2009 Thorn Exp Which Has A298.8Mm Seatpost
By
17 Nov 2016
Hi,

There isn't a Thudbuster made in 29.8mm so you will need to use a shim to allow it to fit your frame, we stock these and they are SJSC part number 22922.

Thanks.
Setback On Crane Creek Thudbuster Seatpost?
By
08 Mar 2016
What if any is the (effective) setback on the Cane Creek Thudbuster ST (and LT if different?) seatpost?
Thanks
Hi,

The set/lay back on the Thudbuster ST when it is not being compressed is 10mm, the LT has 20mm of lay back when it is not being compressed. Both of these numbers increase when pressure is applied to the the seatpost.

Thanks.
