I recommend this product
ConsNot the best for walking but functional. Could be a little more stylish.
ProsExcellent ventilation, cool, comfy when riding
Just what I wanted - sandals with SPD clips. My other shoes made my feet hot and uncomfortable. These let the air circulate. Wasn't sure they'd be up to it but they remain firm when in use.
You can walk in them but they are stiff(meant to be). I'm not sure I'd walk more than a mile in them before any discomfort.

ConsPossibly the omitting of the middle strap
ProsExcellent for riding barefoot in the summer
I love these. Why suffer in tight cramped stuffy shoes when you can have sandals, AND have them click into your Shimano pedals? I’ve had these since 2007, I’ve broke one pair and had to get a new pair. The last pair I’ve had for at least five years. But since I use them for walking too, they’ve worn until they’re falling apart (the lining is coming loose in the heel strap and the soles are worn out…).
But these were the old three strap design. The new design only has two straps, for some unimaginable reason Shimano has omitted the middle one. I havent had time to ride with them yet, but I have a feeling the new ones might not sit as tight on the foot as the old three strap model. Thus I only give them four stars.
Otherwise, they are the same materials and fit.
