Must use for a Rohloff hub because of thicker flanges

ConsNipple threads need cleaning before use.

ProsMust use for a Rohloff hub.

These black spokes have a small hole halfway down the nipple which allows black paint into the thread. You have to clean each nipple with a M2.2 mm x 0.45 mm thread tap before use. Not what you expect from "quality" brands like Rohloff and Sapim.

The nipples are "Secure-Lock" so there is no paint internally and they do not require cleaning out.

Can I use this with a non rohloff hub?

I was wondering if I can use those spokes with any hub and rim.
The treads on the spokes are 14 mm as well ?
