Can this be used on a bike without a quick release (alfine hub gear).

I have a bike that is running a shimano alfine 8 hub. The rear wheel doesn't use a quick release, instead it is bolted on with track nuts. Does this mean it's not compatible with this item.
Hi,

Unfortunately that is the case, these trailers come supplied with a quick release skewer that is required for fitting so they cannot be used with a hub like the Alfine that uses a nutted axle.

Thanks.
Does Wheel Include In The Trailer?
By

Dear SJS staff

Can you tell me whether a wheel is included in the tailer? If a 700c wheel is inlucded, can I change to a 26 inch wheel by myself?

For further compatibility problem, is there any risk to work with Raven with Rohloff CC version?

Thanks for your professional answer.

Chris
Hi,

There is a 700C wheel included with this Extrawheel trailer. It would be easy to change it to a 26" wheel, the trailer just takes a standard front wheel. You may need to adjust the mudguard height as well though as the tyre would be lower. The trailer comes with a quick release skewer which will replace the one currently in your hub, this would then allow the trailer to fit absolutely fine.

Thanks.
