ConsNo storage bag.
ProsWell made, Carradice quality.
Beware, if you look on the Carradice website the bag advertised is a newer version that comes with a bag to stow the bike bag in so when you get to your destination and want to cycle it can be rolled up, put in the bag and attached to your Brompton seat post. The version SJS selling is the previous one without this bag (there are also according to Carradice some other improvements). If I had kept this bag what do I do with it when I off the train, only really useful for storage.

I recommend this product
- Good quality!
- Carry on your back option.

- Too pricey! (I am sorry, but here in Ukraine you can buy 10 bags for this amount of money)
- Too bulky when you unfold your Brompton and fold this bag
- Not possible to roll your Brompton when it is inside this bag
Good bag

I recommend this product
1 year of using - no problem yet!
Good bag to transport your Brompton, I am using it with my 2011 S3miniR (Q type rear rack) Brompton. In this bag you can carry your bike in your hand, on your shoulder and (the most important) on your back.
I think this bag is more suitable for some trips when you really need to carry your Brompton on your back, but in the city simple Brompton cover (in Saddle Bag) is much more handy.

Does this bag come with a saddleback for storage?

No, this is a stand alone bag and does not have any direct on the bike storage option.

Can I use this this with extended seat post and H type handlebars?

2 previous answers appear to give conflicting advice. Thank you.
The H type bike will fit no problem, only the telescopic or standard post fit, the Extended is too long.

Extended Seat post

Are you completely sure that a Brompton with H handle bar and a rack will fit in it? The bag height is 61 cm. A Brompton H6L should 645mm. Please confirm
Hi there,

A standard H6L Brompton will fit absolutely fine but with an extended seatpost, the bag will be slightly too small.

Will this hold a Brompton with rack
11 Oct 2017

Although it definitely will be a tighter fit, this bag is designed to fit all Brompton models including the bikes with racks so it should fit without any issues.

What Size Is The Bag When Folded? Thanks.

Hi, when packaged it is 22 x 32 x 12cm. Regards
Can I Fit Higher Seat Pole
03 Jun 2014
Hi, can I fit a Brompton with higher seat pole in it? I realised I have H model with taller seat (nontelescopic). cheers, Piotr

This will not fit the Extended seat post, only the standard or telescopic.

Clarify Please
13 May 2014
hi, can I carry brompton in it, on my back? how about protruding frame and handlebar elements? even the model with H handlebar? or is it a rucksack than can be used while riding brompton? I wanted something to carry brompton when on a long hike, some passages are unsuitable for riding.

cheers ,

Yes this bag is designed to allow you to carry your Brompton on your back. It will be able to fit the H-type as the overall folded package doesn't protrude much more than with an M-type. Unless you fit padding in the bag as well you won't be able to stop parts protruding into your back which on extended hikes could cause some discomfort.
