ConsPoor Tread Grip In Bad Scottish Weather
ProsWell Designed Tread
Was dissapointed to discover how the tyre made the bike wander on the road with just the outside studs[not fully studded]. Removed the studs and the tyre still wanders on uneven tar. The grip is worse than my Schwalbe HS180 tyres. Vehicle tyres can be run studless and know of a bike tyre that's also sold studless so the grip should not have got as bad as that. The tyre is not dangerous yet feels light [little grip] on wet roads plus slides on icey roads. also the tread constantly fills with stones which has chipped my front forks. Never thought a Continental would be this poor as normally use budget which have a lot more grip, even my cheap rear tyre tries to grip on icy roads before slipping. On wet muddy roads the tyres start to wander too. This has sadly put me off Continentals so will not listen to cyclists advice as other cheaper tyres including Schwalbe are far superior.
