I recommend this product
ConsNone
ProsAllen key head
Friends pin seized and screwhead was useless. This is much better, I have fitted them on all my calipers now and have put a bit copper grease on threads . Service from SJS was first class.

Good quality replacement for shimano calipers, and much better than using the split pin that is provided with MTB replacement pads.

ProsBetter fitting
Fitted this to Ultegra R8070 callipers with no problems. Pin is slightly longer but it’s not an issue. Prefer having Allen key fixing for the pad pin compared to screwdriver slot. Previous version was damaged trying to get it out without success. Resulted in new caliper. Slot type is a major design issue in my opinion

I recommend this product
ConsSlightly larger than original, but worth it
ProsStrong and easily fitted
Replacement for Dura ace/ultegra/105 slotted head pin that can easily be damaged if siezed. No problems with these hex head type. Should be standard on disc brakes.
Great replacement for stock 105 pin

I recommend this product
ConsLonger than the 105 screw so clip groove not aligned
ProsHex headed replacement for poor Shimano flat head design
Pin on my 105 caliper is flat headed. Seized and head stripped meant replacement caliper. Bought this so same didn't happen again
good replacement for the screws

used this as replacement for the screw that snapped. Fits Shimano Ultegra R8070 Flat Mount Disc Brake caliper. Sticks out slightly more than the screw but you have to really look to notice. Will be replacing all the screws to this type from now on
Good upgrade for Ultegra Caliper

For this you need SJS part: 30015
Can I use this with Deore BR-M6100?
By
27 May 2020
Hi, your brakes normally use the Shimano SLX BR-M666 Split Pin - Y8DB06100 which also fit Shimano Deore XT BR-M8000. Shimano Deore XT BR-M785 Pad Axle & Snap Ring - Y8JZ98010 also fit Shimano Deore XT BR-M8000. So they appear interchangeable, the only issue might be the short threaded section if your Deore BR-M6100 are not threaded. Thanks

Can I use this pin in Formula - The One - brake calipers?

Hi, we do not stock Formula brakes and so can't advise if it will fit, the only way of knowing is to try it. Thanks 27/12/19
Can I use theses with br-mt520 4 pot calipers instead of the split pin? Thanks
By

The tech doec only shows split pins, you would have to check if there is a thread on the caliper.

Is this interchangeable with Y8J798060?
By
29 May 2019
If not, is there an alternative to Y8J798060 that isn't a slot head? Preferably hex or torx.
Hi there,

Unfortunately, these parts are specific so they are not cross compatible I'm afraid.

Thanks.

Can I use this with Deore M615 calipers?
By

Hi,

Unfortunately the M615 calipers are not threaded so cannot accept a bolt like this, they can only be used with the split pin.

Thanks.

Hi, is this the bolt that holds the brake pads in the calliper on the xt m785 disc brakes? I have the SLX 675 version that has identical callipers apart from they have a split pin rather than a bolt. I understand they fit in the place of the split pin, is this the case?
Hi,

This is indeed the bolt for holding the brake pads into the calliper. Although it is not something we have ever tried as the SLX callipers are also threaded then there should be no reason as to why you could not use this bolt with your SLX callipers.

Thanks.
