The bar end rear view mirror from Busch & Muller. The design is based on a scaled down BMW motor bike mirror which Busch & Muller manufacture. The design is unique and very functional. The mirror is very easy to fit with plenty of adjustment for perfect alignment. This mirror only fits the bar end not the handlebar as the other models in the range.

ConsNone.
ProsEasy to fit, Lightweight, discrete.
Purchased two mirrors.
Easy to fit, even without instructions. Easy adjustment "on the fly". Unlike some reviews, no vibration/blurring when riding (I'm on a steel frame bike).

I recommend this product
I have bought one of these for all of my drop handlebar bikes. It makes life so much easier when riding in traffic or with others behind. Check for traffic in your mirror and if safe , last minute look behind 'life-saver' before manoeuvering ..... Easily fitted and adjustes on the move.
The best bar end mirror for drop bars, but still flawed

Consmirror can separate from mounting
Prosno vibration, best field of view
I use these on all my drop bar bikes but with a hard knock the mirror falls off the ball/socket joint, never to be seen again. How I wish B&M offered replacement mirror units. After all they are the same whatever the mount arrangement

ProsSolid and well made and does the job
Well made product that is easy to fit securely to the bar end. The mirror is large enough to give a good field of view without being cumbersome and looking ugly on the bike. You will knock it with your knee from time to time but the mirror stays in position otherwise and is easy to set while riding. As someone else said, it is no substitute for looking behind you when putting yourself at risk, but excellent for a quick glance to see what is approaching and checking if your mate is managing to keep up etc.

I recommend this product
ProsIdeal balance of size, well made, clear view.
Just the right size, B&M make a bigger one but on a road bike would be too cumbersome. Good, clear, steady view.
On quiet lanes it's not only useful to know when traffic is coming but also when it isn't. You can relax and enjoy the scenery more easily with an occasional quick glance.

ProsClear view of what is behind you
I have these on each of my bikes. They give a great view of traffic making it safer to ride on busy roads. They are brilliant if you are riding with a group of other riders and avoiding collisions. They seem fiddly to get right first time, but just twist and bingo they are just right.

Conseasily nudged out of line
Proseffective, robust
Well made, easy to fit, but a bit fiddly to sort out the correct positioning of the bar plug mounting to give optimum visibility. Once done however it gives an excellent, vibration free view. The ball socket is easily nudged by your knee on mounting or dismounting, but is simple to line up again on the move.

I recommend this product
ConsNo substitute to just looking behind
ProsSimple style, easy to fix and adjust, solidly made.
Very easy to fit and solid once in place, it's not going to be falling off and won't get swiped unless the thief has a tiny Allen key with them.
It's easy to adjust to get a view of the road but it's quite small, I have found that its best to fix the view slightly out from centre so you have to move your head slightly to see the road behind.
I do occasionally knock it with my knee but Ithink this is just a matter of getting used to it.
Very happy with the purchase and would reccomend to others.

Will this mirror fit well onto a flat bar bike or would you recommend any other mirrors ?
Thanks
No, suggest Busch & Muller Cycle Star 80 Fold In Memory Mirror (SJS Cycles part number : 40504) wich actually fits Left or Right, there are plenty of other mirrors to choose from in this category RT
