This stand is much better than any of the others I've tried. As my city bike has a classic, traditional frame, it is very unstable when parked, and the extra weight from my basket and whatever happens to be in it at the time makes it fall over almost all the time. With this stand, however, it hasn't tipped once.
One point of concern: when mounting the stand to the bike, my husband overtightened the bolt and broke the cast aluminium piece that goes on top of the bike frame. His fault really, but he replaced it with a bit of steel.

Got this as an upgrade to a cheap adjustable length single side kickstand, and not disappointed. Able to hold a heavy load on the rear rack without having to lean against a wall or fence.

Only issue I had was with fitting, depending on the frame or mudguard you are using you may have issues tightening the bolt above the chainstays. I used blue threadlock compound and an adjustable pair of pliers, a closed end wrench would have been better to use but I couldn't get it to fit because of the angle of the frame tubes. This is a relatively minor issue and it's a very good product

As for comment that a fully loaded tourer will fall over in high winds...what won't tip over in high winds :)
