ProsGood protection, fits well
This rubber plug is much better than the original protective cover that came with the older The Plug II. The old one kept popping out and did not provide much protection for the USB port. I have not tried it for long over rough ground but it seems to stay in place so far. For increased protection from water ingress alone, its an improvement.

Does This Cap And Ring Come Standard With The Plug Iii?

Is it included in the Plug IIII package or does it need to be purchased separately?
Hi,

This cap, does indeed come as standard with the Plug III now, they updated the cap and released it as s pare for people with the older Plugs to update to the newer cap.

Will This Cover Also Fit Early Models Of The Plug?

If I swap the mounting rings, will this cover also fit my older Plug2+?

You will be absolutely fine fitting this USB Cap and Ring to a Plug2+ the only model it won't fit is the original Plug 1.

Included is the rubber USB plug which has a rubber ring attached to it which fits around a supplied spacer ring which is stepped.
