This Complete Freehub Body can also be used on the following rear wheels:

- Shimano WH-R500-A-N-R
- Shimano WH-R500-A-R
- Shimano WH-R500-N-R

These are an "A" match which indicates that the parts are the same in materials, appearance, finish & size etc.

This was a cheap set of wheels a while ago, so that the freehub failed didnt really surprise me, and to be honest at 20 odd pounds really quite cheap, easy to fitt and new one works fine, little surprised shimano dont supply with it a set of 8 ball bearings, but hey stuck the old ones in with loads a grease, and polished the cone, and all ok, nice item, will prob now last as long as the wheels

I have just bought an 11 speed 105 cassette. Will this freehub work with this cassette and Shimano R500 wheels?

This will not work as WH-R500 wheels will take only 10 sped cassettes, OR MTB 11 speed ones.

Hi, I have installed a CS5700 10s cassette but need a spacer since the cassette is not completely fixed. which spacer measure do I need? Thanks

If you are using a 10-speed cassette on this freehub, no spacer is required. please check it has been correctly installed.

This looks the nearest I can find to what I want. is this compatible with Y-4BE98080? The set up is for a 9 speed cassette, 130mm length between hangers i.e. over lock nuts

I thought the correct free hub should be part Y-4BG98160 or is it discontinued and this one is what I need?

Hi, I'm wondering if this will fit onto my hub (labelled Exage sealed mech HG50). It looks like it will, but I need to know the total outside length of this freehub body please (i.e. from where it buts against the hub to the opposite end, in mm)?

This freehub body is not listed as compatible with the R550 as well I'm afraid as the hub design is very different. The correct freehub body is no longer available for the R550 either I'm afraid.
