ConsLogo not shown in pictures

ProsStrong, cheap, many sizes available

I bought this to replace the incorrect size seatpost supplied with a vintage frame and needed an uncommon size (26.0mm)
It's a decent quality seatpost for the price, nothing groundbreaking but it fits and holds the seat firmly.
As other reviews state, there is a logo on the side which isn't shown in the pictures (which says ergotec).

ConsNot unbadged as pictured, prone to creep with qr clamp on seat tube

ProsCheap, robust, good saddle adjustment

I got this in 26.6 diameter to allow use of a saddle with oval rails in the top of my Brompton telescopic seatpost. Chose this particular pin as I have the all black Brompton and was after the unbadged look. The post is not as pictured - it has a silver Ergotec logo screen printed down each side. Also I think it may be slightly under the spec diameter - or the black paint is very slippy as I've had to tighten the top qr as tight as I dare without breaking it and it still creeps a little

Improved Saddle Adjustment

ProsInexpensive, finer adjustment, good length

My inexpensive mountain bike had very crude adjustment steps. It was saddle nose too far up or too far down.
Replacing the seat post and clamp with this inexpensive solved that problem. Adjustment is now far easier and I have the saddle position exactly where I want it. Very pleased.

Layback?

This post and most of our other ones only has around 20mm of lay back. We only have one post that offers 30mm of lay back and it is made by Genetic, these are SJSC part number 37031.
