Handbuilt by our Master wheelbuilder from DT Swiss Champion 287/289mm.
135mm OLN.

Note: This wheel is not supplied with rim tape.

ConsWould be nice with black spokes

ProsFeels strong when riding. Suitable for big people like me. The hub makes a great noise.

This wheel has been the perfect replacement on my Boardman hybrid, compared to the stock wheel this one runs solid and ‘feels’ so much stronger. Fitting was super easy (aside getting the cassette off the old wheel) and runs a dream so far.
I’m a big guy so the higher spoke count was a key reason why I bought this wheel, only downside is this wheel has stainless spokes compared the original wheel which has black, although I’m starting to get used to the difference in colours and now I quite like it.

ProsThe best wheel available to the non-specialist.

This is the perfect upgrade for for my Specialized Cosstrail. The old wheel was an inferior one wtth an Alex rim and a bearing that's worn badly.The new wheel was very securely packaged.

What Is The Exact Type Of Spokes Used In This Wheel?

This wheel has been built using DT Swiss Champion plain gauge spokes. The lengths required are 287mm for the drive side and 289mm for the non-drive side.

We don't offer this as a pre-built wheel with a silver rim but we would be able to do a custom build for you. Just add the silver rim, a suitable hub for your bike and one of our wheel build options to your basket (remembering to match the number of spokes) and we'll send you a fully built wheel.

Will This Work On A Single Speed?

I have a single speed Day One disc which needs a stronger rear wheel, would this wheel work?

Hi,

This wheel could be used on a single speed bike, it would require you to fit a single speed conversion kit to it though. You'll need to convert the cassette freehub body to single speed use with a kit like the one made by Wheels Manufacturing which is SJSC part 18326.

I'm afraid we only have this rim build up with a disc rear hub, to have this rim build up with a disc front hub we would have to do a custom wheel build for you.
