Consexpensive shipping overseas, but that was expected.

Prosoriginal equipment

Good pawl springs make for a great working Sturmey Archer hub and in my restoration of a Phillips 3 speed the springs had succumbed to rusty pawls and time. Luckily, SJS Cycles had the springs in stock! Ordering and shipping went smoothly and the 3 speed is working again as new! Thanks much!

So many items cannot be repaired due to lack of spares, it is good to find a service that enables hub gears to be repaired for the sake of trivial but essential items like pawl springs.

I've used these standard pawl springs in AW, AM and FM hubs and keep a number on hand for repairs. The availability of these parts is much appreciated!

These are perfect. I change the springs once a year when I service my Sturmey Archer AW 3 speeds in the winter so they are ready to go for the start of bike season... Perfect replacement parts.

I ordered and received four of these little springs, used to rejuvenate a 1978 AW 3 speed hub. This particular hub had suffered from lack of lubrication and water ingress, the original springs had failed due to corrosion! Once cleaned up and fitted with these new springs the hub is once again ready for action! I am so glad that you offer these hard to find parts!

I regularly rebuild AW hubs and this is my go to source for the HSA120 pawl springs. They seem to always have them in stock, and I can always order more things that they have including dropout washers, indicator chains, etc. They have most Sturmey Archer parts I need for the AW hubs!

Prosgood improvement

These arrived next day in Ireland!!
They make a tremendous to the performance of my SA AW hub.
Gears dont skip any more. Only one in my hub needed replacing but did all four while at it. Now gives that good tick a tick sound!
They're fiddley wee gits to put in but once u master one...nuff said

Pawl Spring

I need a pawl spring. Don't know the hub name, but it is a round spring about 25mm x 0.4mm. For internal pawls. Has I gap between the ends and one end has a 90 degree bend of about 5mm

Hi,

Unfortunately pawl springs are almost always specific to the individual hub so we would need to know exactly what the hub model is to be able to see if there is a replacement available. Even with the model it is still not guaranteed though unfortunately as a lot of companies don't produce replacement pawl springs for their own hubs.
