I recommend this product
Consnot quite full rear view but if you get a pair the coverage is good enough
Prosvisibility adjust ability
Stretches of my regular country roads are very rutted and virtually un-ridable on the left side ... I ride in the middle of the road where it is smooth to avoid those areas and these mirrors are perfect ... when I see anyone behind me I can pull back over.

ConsCheap plastic, small image, scratches easily.
ProsVery lightweight, easy to fit and adjust.
This mirror is a mixed bag. It's discreet, very lightweight and easy to fit. It's annoying that the left and right versions are different so if you wanted to switch it from one side to the other (e.g. when travelling between the UK and Europe) it won't work as well. The image is very small but then that's to be expected due to the size. The fit feels secure and vibrations don't affect the positioning but I found I'd sometimes knock it out of alignment with my knee when mounting/pushing off. The plastic the body is made from feels cheap and the reflective surface scratches easily (in fact it came out of the packet already scratched).

ConsFollowing objects closer than viewed.
ProsEast to fit, stays in adjustment. Wide field of view.
Easy to fit and adjust. Stays adjusted over bumps. Getting used to rear view. Often obscured by following riders, but otherwise useful. Beware of distortion caused by convex shaped mirror (wide angle with objects appearing further away than actual).

Works well for such a small mirror. The one drawback is that if one is leading a ride one can see the cyclist behind easily but it's hard to see the group.
Not much use, really

As suggested by other reviewers, image too small to be of much use- at least in London traffic- and gives very little warning of vehicles approaching at any speed. Possibly of some use in a peloton to show who's right on your tail?

Conssurface can smear/ need to get use to the fact its not a flat mirror
Prosneat design, simple, very effective
Not getting any younger and this makes riding in traffic a whole lot safer! There might be cheaper solutions on the market , but this works really well and integrates nicely with the bike
Complete waste for a Raven

Consunsuitable for straight or near straight bars.
ProsReasonable price
Bought for a Raven - a complete waste of money, it does not angle far enough back.
Only useful if you turn the bars to the right to see behind you.
I expect it works for drop bars - but not for straight bars. The description above is clearly wrong.
SJS Customer Service:
These are designed for drop bars, sorry you were not completely satisfied!

ConsThe image is very small compared with some of the alternatives.
ProsRobust and non-fragile
The mirror plugs into a rubber plug, which itself plugs into the handlebar end. The result is a very firm fixing, vibration free, but with limited adjustment. With my handlebar and riding position, I'm at the limit of adjustment.

Conspanniers obstruct the centre of the field
ProsGave some view to the rear view
Bought specifically for a tour in France. Did not provide much help as the rear pannier obstructed the most important part of the field of view.

ProsEasy fit, neat appearance and not affected by wind.
Easy to fit and adjust, gives a good view and looks neat on the bike. Yes, vehicles look smaller, but that's the same with car mirrors and you adjust to the view.

ConsObjects appear further away than they are
ProsGood stability, compact and light
This mirror is small, light and stable. I had a Blackburn before which was good but eventually became loose and wouldn't stay in position. This has a different mounting system which I think will last longer. It offers a good rear view with low vibration distortion. One aspect to be aware of is it has a diminishing effect so objects look further away than they really are. I always look over my shoulder before changing line which is definitely necessary here.

Can I use this with a Raven?

"thanks to the revolutionary rear-view mirror for racking bikes, mountain bikes and street bikes, riding with the family or friends is both safer and more fun. "
You say that it is only suitable for racing bikes. Why does your statement say that it is suitable for mountain bikes and street bikes. I think you may have an issue with sale of goods act. Can I also ask what a racking bike is? Perhaps a racing bike?
These are suitable for any bicycle with drop handlebars, whether than be a road bike, a Thorn Raven or a mountain bike.

Now the rubber part that fits into the end bars have deteriorated ,could I buy two replacement rubber fittings ?
Hi
Thank you for your enquiry. We do stock the spare rubber plugs for these mirrors, they are our item number 38416. If you input this number into the search box on the website it should take you straight to them.

Right Or Left

Hi thinking about buying a mirror is the right hand mirror when you are sitting on the bike as if you are cycling. Sorry for what sounds like a obvious answer but I just don't want to get the wrong one.
Thanks
Andy
Hello.

Our options are all as if you are cycling, so if it is the right mirror you need you would indeed select the right hand mirror.

Thanks.
