Mounts to 1 1/8inch steerer tube for lights, computers etc. A really useful T shaped bar for lights and computers when handlebar space is at a premium.
Perfect for mounting light/computer brackets when using a drop bar set up, it goes in place of a headset spacer.

Single clamp allen key bolt at rear, hard black finish.

Fits steerer size well, just needed to file the welds so that it fits flush to spacers.

..that it's only 150mm wide - I need 175mm minimum for an Ortlieb Handlebar Pack.. Suggestion: Make it 200mm so people can cut to the length they need!

sloppy weld means I'll have to file it.

the weld onto the part that fits over the steerer is a bit messy. It means the stem (or spacer) won't sit flat. I'll have to file it down. It's alloy so I suppose not a big deal, but annoying.

Used for Ortlieb bar bag. Fitted well, seems strong.

ProsLight. strong, good value

Used for mounting Ortlieb bar bag on Thorn Nomad. Fitted well, seems strong. Positions bag just low enough to allow a bike light to be mounted to the handlebars to shine across the top of it - the bike has about 60mm of spacer height between the stem and the headset. Hope this helps.

extension bar diameter

Would the extension bar be 22.2mm diameter. I have asked a similar question about the silver one but if this one is the same apart for the front bar diameter I would prefer the black colour.
And presumaby 0 degrees translates to it being at right angles to the steerer tube.
I would cut the top bar off and fit it sideways to take a Rohloff changer if possible.

Yes the extension bar is 22.2mm.
The 0 degrees means it will be at 90 degrees to the steerer tube,.

As long as you have 27mm of spacers you can remove from below the stem and its 1.1/8th" steerer tube, yes.

Hi, I have limited space available on the steerer tube (2 x 10 mm spacer) and I'm wondering whether the extension bar clamp will fit

The clamp is 27mm deep so will be too large to replace just your two 10mm spacers I'm afraid.

I am looking to add an extra bar to my stem to attach my Ortlieb Ultimate Handlebar bag so that I can free up space on my handlebar for lights and phone mount. I would like the bar to sit lower so that my light can shine over the handlebar bag. Would the Thorn Accessory Bar MKS T work for this application?

Advantage Of 25.4 Diameter Compared To 22.2 Mm

I'm trying to decide which to order. This will be used to mount an Ortlieb handlebar bag using a Rixen Kaul Klickfix mount.

Hi,

For mounting a handlebar bag bracket we would recommend going with the 25.4mm size as it will allow for a better fitting. The 22.2mm size was release mainly to allow the fitting of a gear shifter to it.
