ConsIdeally there should be a version for fatter handlebars.

ProsLoud and clear

It makes the sound people are expecting a bike to make, meaning they are more likely to react and like the other reviewer people have actually thanked me for ringing the bell - it encourages a polite reaction. It only fits narrow bars, but with some extra long screws I've managed to fit it to some drops, it's a big bell and took up too much space so In the end I moved it to some bar extenders.

Much better than the silly bells which come with bikes. Sometimes people thank me for warning them I'm behind them.

SJS Customer Service:

On the S / flat bar bikes, this should not be a problem, but on M and H bars it might need a bit of adjustment to get it in the right place.

Is This Bell Compatible With Thick Handle Bars?

I have a cycle cross bike, Genesis Croix de Fer, with a drop handle bar. Standard bells don't fit around it. Would this one fit?

Hi,

Unfortunately this bell has been designed around standard mountain bike style bars with 22.2mm diameter bars, there is a very slight possibility given the clamps design it could stretch to be used on drop bars which usually have a diameter of 23.8mm but I can't say for sure.
