Motobecane Mirage

I am hoping to install this bb, along with the Sunrace R81 crankset, in an old Motobecane Mirage frame, using the IRD conversion cups to swiss threads. At the moment I still have the original Stronglight cups and spindle installed, which seems to give a chain line of around 50 mm. However, the crank set probably needs a shorter chain line - it seems that Shimano use 43,5 mm and I assume Sunrace use the same? Which size bottom bracket is appropriate for this? And, is it only the crank set that determines chain line or does the frame and/or rear wheel/cassette affect it as well?
SJS Customer Service:
If you need to add another 6-7mm of chain line then add 6-7mm to the required axle length, however this may affect the Qfactor of the chain set. SK 02/06/26

Since the spindle does not protrude equally on each side, I assume that the right (drive) side is longer than the other side. Is that correct?
On the 110 mm spindle length, how many millimeters does the spindle protrude from the cartridge on the right side? And on the left?
Thanks

SJS Customer Service:
Hi, yes in most instances they are off set. However on this BB the 110 is close to 12mm on each side. Thanks
