Retrofit your IRD QB-55, QB-75 or QB-95 bottom bracket with these cups to make it compatible with non-English threaded frames.

Simply pull of the stock English cups and replace with these.

For IRD bottom brackets only.

French, Swiss, Italian or 73mm OS English BB threading.

Swiss threaded bottom brackets use the same basic dimensions and thread specifications as French but uses reverse-threading for the drive side like the British.

Do you stock Swiss threaded ones though?
By

Yes, I know I can use French for the non-drive side. I can't use them for the drive side (different thread direction). I can't use British (different thread) nor Italian (different thread and thread direction). If I want to use Swiss-threaded bottom bracket shell, I need Swiss threaded drive side cup. So the question is whether you have them in stock, because it's not an option in the dropdown menu, it's just mentioned in the item description.
Hello & thank you for your enquiry.
Research shows that IRD supply a French labeled non-drive side BB cup in the Swiss set and an unmarked drive side, so conclude the French offering is fit for purpose.

Do you still stock Swiss threaded ones?

Conversion to Swiss on QB-95
By

Hello. To use the conversion cups you write "Simply pull of the stock English cups and replace with these". I have so far not managed to do this on my QB-95 bottom bracket drive side. Do you have any advice on this? Regards Ulf Hörnberg .
As far as we can see, these are simply pressed into place, we would suggest using a soft clamped vice and a rubber mallet.

Is the fixed cup left handed, and the non-fixed cup right handed?
Hi there,

Yes the threading is opposite so both cups thread in towards the rear of the bicycle.

Thanks

Do You Do A Right Handed English Bb Conversion
By

I have a "made in Germany" old mixtie frame with what appears to be right handed threads both sides. I have a sealed unit of 1.37 x 24tpi type which fits on the non driven side. As the standard is a left handed thread on the driven side it will not fit so I need either to find a sealed unit with both sides using what I think is english right handed, this appears impossible, or if you do threaded replacement for the driven side which can replace the left hand side of the BB I have. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi,

Although these IRD cups in the French option is the correct thread for your frame, as they are designed for use with IRD bottom brackets I don't know how well they'd work with other manufacturers of bottom bracket I'm afraid. For an unusual frame we normally recommend threadless bottom brackets that are normally designed for damaged threads.

Thanks.
