Details

Sintered (as opposed to standard) pads are made from a metallic compound making them harder with more durability.

This means they take more time to bed in.

Pack contains:
- Pair of Tech V4 brake pads - sintered compound
- Spring
- Retaining bolt
- Retaining bolt clip

ConsCan glaze up in hot, dry conditions.

ProsLong lasting, good modulation and power.

These are the best pads for the V4. They last and work well in wet and muddy conditions, which is 85% of the year in the UK. Organic (standard) pads are best if it's dry and hot.

Purchased to carry out a Hope hydraulic rear brake service on our tandem. Workshop service cancelled, excellent support from the SJS team getting orders out before going into lockdown.

We've a Thorn tandem with Hope V4 disc on rear, would sintered or ordinary pads be best?

The sintered pads are better suited to the heavy duty use for a tandem so we would recommend going for these.
