The new inserts are lighter and thicker than the Dura inserts for longer life, has a 7.65mm contact width for narrow rims and cut outs for reduced weight.

Dual Pivot Brake Blocks For Ceramic Rims

I was sold a Mavic ceramic front rim by my local dealer, for longer life and better braking, but both the Shimano 'ceramic' blocks, and standard ones, give me less braking power than I get from the back brake. Which blocks would you recommend to try and improve this?

These Ceramic specific blocks from Koolstop would be the blocks we'd recommend, unfortunately it is a bit of a trade off sometimes with Ceramic rims the increased life is done by having a harder sidewall which in theory means a less abrasive braking surface. Because of the harder rim surface it may also take longer for the rim to bed in to give optimum braking from it.
