Replacement pad for Avid V type pad, it slips into the pad holder quickly and easily. With durable Kool Stop formulas and multiple water displacement grooves and patented Kool Stop plow tip.
Length 72mm. Brake surface length 69mm.

ConsDifficult to fit, expensive

ProsStop the bike very well

I thought I'd ordered the wrong parts as the carriers on my brakes (Avid Shorty 6 on a 2002 Thorn XTC) are curved but these are straight. SJSC's customer help told me they just needed a little persuading so with some petroleum jelly, some brute force and much swearing I got them fitted. Didn't help that they have pin slots at both ends so not obvious which way they go (It's black-to-front, thanks SJSC). Once fitted they stop the bike very well, but so they should at ten quid a pair, Front ones squealed at first but soon stopped so may just have been some of that petroleum jelly on the rime
