These aero brake levers have a special mounts for installing the Shimano / Rivendell Silver 1 downtube shifters to allow easier access to shifting. This updated version also includes a right side mount that fits the ENE Ciclo Uno 12-speed bar end shifter (you need to take apart the bar end shifter).

Thank you for your enquiry. The IRD Uno Power Ratchet Brake Levers are essentially an updated version of the standard IRD Power Ratchet Brake Levers. The key difference is the shifter mount compatibility.

The Uno version adds a special right-hand mounting bracket that accepts the ENE Ciclo Uno 12-speed shifter (and is also compatible with the Ene-Ciclo 11-speed thumb shifter). Otherwise the brake lever itself is the same design, with the shifter mount sitting above the brake lever for easy access from the hoods.
