I recommend this product

ConsFit of lever body into bar end.

ProsWell made, quick, positive, sensitive braking.

Very nice work, good fit and finish, work very very well. One unexpected wrinkle: the barrels of the lever bodies did not fit into the ends of the TT bars I have. The solution required grinding some material away from the cylindrical part that must fit inside the bar end to secure the lever. Once done, all is well.

Where would it be safe to drill an exit hole for the cable, in my recumbent trike underseat handlebars?

As we have never tried these together we cannot say for certain im afraid. Also as have never had any experience with recumbent bikes we would have no idea im afraid.

Can this lever be used in combination with a v brake?

Hi,

Unfortunately this brake lever is not designed for use with V-brakes as it does not pull enough cable. To use it with V-brakes you would need to use a cable travel agent.
