These hoods will also fit Modolo, Dia-Compe, some old Shimano levers, Weimann & Mafac levers.
These are to fit levers with overhead cables, not the modern style where the cable exits at the rear.

Good replacements for original Weinmann hoods

ProsEasy to apply, good fit

I found these a good replacement for the very ancient original Weinmann hoods. I had - as others have reported here - to cut them slightly for a good fit, but that was easy. I used surgical spirit to fit them and found that no trouble at all. Furthermore, it is good that SJS stock these - few do.

ProsAlmost as good as the originals.

Good fit on Weinmann levers. I unscrewed the bar clips, dabbed french chalk over the lever bodies and the rubbers, slipped the rubbers on without effort, re-fixed the clips - job finished within minutes. Didn't need to cut any of it away.

I am restoring a 1960 Rotrax but the Weinmann brake hoods were hopelessly perished. Didn't think I would be able to get a replacement but very pleased to source these. In my opinion they are a very good replacement and easy to fit by the old trick of smearing the insides with warm soapy water. Perfect fit.

Good fit for weinmann levers on 25 year old peugeot cycle.I had to trim them a little underneath the lever,but it wasnt at all difficult and they look great.Very pleased with the delivery time too.

Ordered these for my retro weinmann brakes while doing a refurb on my old Holdsworth racing bike as the old ones had perished. They fit perfectly and look really good. Good price too so I'm pleased.

Good quality. Fitted almost perfectly over NOS Weinneman brake levers. Only minor issue was the rubber extended 5 to 10mm too far under the pivot point of the lever. Could be trimmed back fairly easily.

Very good replacements for my 30 year old perished rubber hoods, very similar in design. Difficult item to source for brakes with overhead cables, well done SJS. Price was the best too.

Do these hoods have cutouts for Weinnman drilled levers with safety levers?

Unfortunately these hoods do not have the extra cut out, so you would need to modify them yourself if you require the extra cut out.
