ConsWould be better if hanger offset further forward.

ProsOk, reasonably functional

Ok, but the hanger doesn't fit directly on top of the headset without fouling - needed a 10mm spacer. So, effectively the drop becomes 25mm rather than 35mm. It would be better if the hanger was offset further.
Would be a problem if you have a short steerer/limited space between the stem and headset.

SJS Customer Service:

This will not fit onto a quill stem, it is intended for use with an A headset system. SK 19/04/24

Does this fit a standard Ahead steerer?

What is the stack height?

Hi do you know what the height of the band on this is ? as in how much room will it take up on the steerer tube ? Thanks

The stack is 9mm - we have been made aware this does catch on some headset cups (Cane Creek 40) and therefore needs a 10mm spacer below.

Can you get these in silver size 25.4mm?

Unfortunately we can only get these Tektro hangers in black. We do have a silver 25.4mm option from another brand, but these are made by Paul components so are much more expensive. These are SJSC part number 31383SIL.

What Is The Drop On This Hanger?

I am looking for a longer drop cale hanger to replace a short one. It is for a 25.4mm steerer.
What drop is the Paul hanger?
Why is it so much more expensive?

Hi,

Both this Tektro hanger and the Paul hanger have the same drop of 35mm when measured centre to centre. The Paul hanger is finished to slightly higher quality and with a greater attention to detail. It also has been manufactured in the USA and comes with a higher quality sprung barrel adjuster. The Tektro unit is much simpler as it was produced in higher product numbers in Taiwan, it is still a reliable unit that works as desired though.
