I recommend this product
ConsHard to find - SJS provides a real service by carrying such a broad range
ProsNice machining, inexpensive
Well machined and tightening with an external hex is really easier than with an internal. Long threading and internal threads to the rear end allowed me to mount split mudguards (fenders) and fatter tires on an old 80s steel Trek.

what is the thread pitch each end?

What is the thread pitch each end? Is it M5 and M6?

Thank you for your enquiry, this item has an M6 thread for the brake bolt end & an M5 thread for the mudguard connector end. I hope this helps.

How long is the wider larger section of these nuts?
09 Nov 2018
The bit that sticks out the back of the fork once fitted. They look quite long compared to the Problem Solvers version of the same thing.
This is dependant on the length of bolt, for example the 22mm is 17mm protruding, 22mm inside the fork.

Does the size measure the length excluding the larger diameter recessed section?

Hi there,

The size relates to the shaft with the smallest diameter.
