What the maximum width of a mudguard can the brs202 take?
By

An estimate would be approx 50mm, depending on tire and wheel.

Which would you say is a better overall caliper, these or Tektros
By

Both are very good, the pad compound and condition of the rim makes the biggest difference.

Is the dia compe brs202 a more powerful and durable brake that the tektro r559?
By
08 Mar 2019
The power is going to be similar, the R559 has upgraded pads, the BRS202 is lighter!

Can I Use This With Gilles Berthoud Fenders?
By

Witch dimension Tyres will work with these brakes.
I have i singelspeed frame / fork with Caliper mounts.
Will 35 mm tyres (700c) For exempel Continental cyclocross speed fit?
Might even wider tyres fit?
And if so is it even possible to fit a pair of Gilles Berthoud fenders?

Sincerely,
/Mats
Hello,

Yes your frame will fit these brakes. We would recommend that the largest tyres to use would be 32mm slick tyres. Unfortunately the mudguards you have mentioned are too wide.

Thanks.
Hello, I Have A 1970S Dawes Galaxy Frame

now running with 700 cc wheels/tyres. Old Weinman centre pulls need replacing, drop seems to by 75mm. will these work ie fit to the forks?
thanks
Hi,

I can't say for definite as I'm not familiar with that bike, but most bikes of that age used external nutted fitting brakes rather than these Dia-Compe brakes which uses a recessed nut, if your forks are still the original ones then it is unlikely to be able to accept a recessed nut and the bolt within the brakes will not be long enough to fit a normal nut. You could either use these brakes and fit longer a longer bolt (SJSC part number 24266) or use a set of brakes that come with a nut fitting as standard SJSC part number 24459.

Thanks.
