ProsEasy to fit well made and makes bike look tidier

Replaced the rear hanger on my 23 year old Dawes Horizon ( also from SJS) as it was looking tatty and rusty. Big improvement visually for a few quid.

For top routed cable?

These seem to only make sense if you're fitting one to a bike with a brake cable coming up from underneath, as on a mixte frame. I've tried every which way to fit one to a bike with a top tube routed brake cable and it just doesn't want to fit without convoluted and ugly cable routing.

Dose this brake hanger have a cable stop as it is hard to tell by the photo

Yes this does have a cable stop, but it not a captive one, the ferrule butts up against the bracket. SK 27/03/23
