ConsVery expensive, initial setup is fiddly

ProsLooks great, good power

These are a nice alternative to the usual short reach dual pivot brake. You'll need a cable hanger and the pads can be a faff to set up but it is a good solid brake, much more powerful than the GC700 because of its short reach. It needs its own unique straddle cable for best function. These last almost indefinitely but can get lost if the QR function is used to transport the bike without a front wheel, so keep a spare one.

Grand Compe 450 Price

Why is the Gran Compe 450 half the price of the Gran Compe 610 which seems to be of comparable quality? Or is lower the price for one unit only?

Both brakes are sold individually, but the 450 is a much higher quality unit. The 450's use better alloy, an updated design and come supplied with a higher quality of brake pads.

Greetings, I am looking for a set of brake pad holders for these brakes, do you sell them as accessories for these excellent brakes? The post is small than standard smooth-post canti posts. Here is the link to the product on Dia Compe's site:
