This improved designs avoids obstructing access to Torx screws on 32 hole Rohloff hubs and enables the tightness of these screws to be checked easily, without removing the wheel from the frame. Works with appropriate Hope, Shimano Deore and Avid BB7 callipers. Saw tooth design clears muck and reduces brake squeal.

I recommend this product
ConsNot cheap
ProsFour-hole fixing pattern
This is a product specifically for use with Rohloff gear hubs, which have a four-hole fixing pattern rather than the standard 6-hole one. It's a simple stainless steel disc 2mm thick, nicely made and a very good fit on the hub. The only downside is that it is easy to get 6-hole discs for under half the price of this 4-hole one, which makes it seem a little costly.

This rotor will work perfectly well with the TRP Spyke, Spyre, and Hy-RD brakes SK 09/06/23
What brake pad compound should I use with a TRP Spyke on a Nomad?
By

I understand there are at least 4 different compounds, resin, sintered, organic and semi-metallic but have no idea which to use.
Hi there,

There are two options, Resin/Organic and Sintered/Semi-Metal.

The resin will offer sharper braking, but wear quicker.
Sintered wear slower, still offer good braking and are less susceptible to contamination.

The stock pads are resin.

Hi,

The bolt holes are set in a square pattern and each are 4.5cm away from the next.

Thanks.

Does it come with mounting bolts?
Hi,

This disc rotor does not come with the mounting bolts I'm afraid. The Rohloff disc brake bolts are available separately and are SJSC part number 16493.

Thanks.
Is There A Specific Direction Of Rotation For This Disc?
By
12 May 2014
Hi,

Yes there is a specific direction of rotation. As the rotor sits in the picture the required direction of rotation will be anti-clockwise, so the smoother sections enter the calliper first. The direction of rotation should also be marked on the rotor itself.

Thanks.
