A tiny part to make your ride more comfortable or any hard-core modder that needs the extra folding space for some add-ons.

Will increase about 1cm width on brompton stem folding space.

The extra folding space can give you more room to adjust brake lever angle, add handlebar mount, water bottle cages etc.

Does this weaken the stem catcher rod?

This is exactly what I require for my new Brompton for more ergonomic positioning of the brake levers. Does this weaken the stem catcher rod or invalidate a Brompton warranty?

Technically this would increase the leverage on the threaded rod, although we are yet to see any issues.
Again, technically, any changes to the bike from OE spec would invalid warranty.

I'm intrigued. The description interests me but I can't think where it fits and ow it works. Could you explain a bit more pleas?

The Stem Catcher Knob is removed from it's threaded rod on the side of the stem, this then screws onto the rod and the Stem Catcher Knob screws back onto it.
