ConsRelatively stiff compared to original.

ProsDirect replacement part

My Brompton M6 is a short wheel base model (1015mm between wheel centres) and my local dealer said they couldn't get suitable cables anymore. So I bought this thinking I would have to shorten it but it turned out to be a perfect fit identical to the original. I followed to the workshop manual for fitting and routing and it was a complete success.

Correct cable for 2011 Sturmy archer?

I have S type 2011 with 3 speed Sturmy Archer BSR hub and want higher bars. I will buy Joseph Kuosac mid rise 46142 as i dont think my bike will take full rise keeping the S stem. You say I need all new M type cables so is this the cable I need? Thanks

Yes, unless you change your shifter this would be suitable.

Will This Fit My Bike

Hello, I have a 3 Speed brompton bike with M Type handlebar (Serial #0607055704). I need to replace the gear cable. Will this fit my bike? if not which one shall I buy? thanks. Pietro

Hi,

This is the correct cable if you have the Long wheel base option. If you have the non-long wheel base option then these cables will still fit you'll just have to shorten them by 14mm.
