Modified Brompton

My Brompton has after market handlebars (more swept back) but that means the standard Brompton brake cables are too short. What would be the recommended brake cable to deal with the fold? Have used Shimano cable in the past but maybe something better?

Replaced Brompton brake cables with Shimano cable long time ago. Time for a replacement set - do I need any special end caps for the 2 part cable run on the front brake? It is the point where the front cable has a fixed holder and the two rear cables (shifter and brake) are in a loop. AND what is the standard end cap for this cable and the cable itself? (sorry a newbie to bike repair)

Hi there,
Using Shimano cables is not recommended as they are not linear and do not cope with the curves/bends very well.
The cable gatherer split for the front brake cable requires no end caps.
The brake end caps are 5.5mm or so, Jagwire cables as set by Brompton come with this fitted and all cables the correct length!
