I recommend this product
ConsMay need adjusting for your panniers.
ProsStiff, good fixings and adjustment, finish.
A good solid rack with sturdy adjustable arms at the front. The lower mounting points are on a separate plate which can be swapped for a slightly taller plate provided, to clear either 26 or 700c wheels i assume. But this plate has a projecting loop which is described as an additional fixing point for bungees etc. This projecting loop gets in the way of some panniers when you mount them on the lower mounting rail, so the pannier will not fit. I had to swap the plates over to opposite sides and mount them on the inboard side of the rack to make the panniers sit well. Also the tubes are not flush with each otherwhich may cause mounting problems. A nice matt black finish and surprisingly light for a heavy duty rack.

I recommend this product
ConsA bit heavier than a tubus
ProsStiff, good fittings, cost 1/3 of a tubus
My wife and I both have these racks on our touring bikes and they have put up with countless miles and innumerable things being strapped to them, including a 3000 mile fully loaded tour through the US. The lower rail makes it a lot easier to fit panniers (ortlieb for us) in addition to bungee cording stuff on the top. The rack is really stiff which is great. The different "feet" that come with it should mean it fits most bikes. I will be fitting a child seat on mine in a few months so obviously trust it.
Nice Rack !

I recommend this product
ConsCould not use lower rail
ProsLightweight, Sturdy, Cheap, Easy to fit
This alloy rack is an excellent alternative to more expensive racks like Tubus.
It's lightweight, well-made, easy to fit, and sturdy.
Fitted on a Specialized Vita Sport Disc Step Through 2016. (despite having disc brakes, you can fit this rack as long as the brakes are placed between the chain and seat stays)
One small problem is that I could not use the lower rail with Vaude panniers.

Also I would be looking to fit this rack onto a Kinesis ATR bike with Hunt 4 Season Disc wheels- would this be compatible? Many thanks for your help.
Yes the rack should fit the Kinesis, the Ortleib bags will fit the rack, you will need to check you are using the correct clamp spacers for the 10mm rails
Please, what are the dimensions of the top platform ? Thanks

max width of the lower attachment points?
We cannot say if this will fit to the outside of a boost axle, as it's designed to be bolted to a pannier mount. The approx distance from inside to inside of the mounting plate is 168mm.

Hello,

This product should fit your bicycle, however we have not tested this so can not know for definite. The rack itself is made from alloy.
Hi Will This Rack Fit A Giant Defy 1? I Believe That I May Also Need An Additional Seat Clip Too?
By

With thanks
Hi,

As we have never tried to fit one these racks to your bike we don't have any way of knowing for definite if it will fit I'm afraid. If you need a seat clamp that can take a rack fittings we stock a few with the basic one being SJSC part 23605.

Thanks.
Does It Have Fitting For A Rear Light?
By
03 Jul 2015
Looks not, but there is a bar at the back, so wondered if there was some kind of facility
Hi,

There is not facility for a rear light as standard but Madison sell a Universal rear light bracket that could be used with this rack to allow fitting of a rear light. The bracket is SJSC part 26342.

Thanks.
Hi, Will This Fit To A Bike With Disc Brakes?
By
24 Jul 2014
Note that I am using a Boardman Team Hybrid with disc brakes.
Hi,

This rack is not designed to be used on a bike with disc brakes, so it will not fit to your bike without heavy modification.

Thanks.
