Slightly wider than the Velocity, the Velocity Hybrid rear rack is ideal for lightweight load carrying on hybrid and touring bikes. The narrow angled design keeps panniers close to the wheel for better cornering and improved performance.

ProsEasy to fit, strong, light

Good solid rack (Have the thinner one on other bike). Yet still very light, takes the epic Cateye Ti_ld1100 rear light on a mounting (+ cable ties) which is a good move and well worth the extra money. Good quality fittings, wel made.

Top width for rack top bag

Is the top of this rack wide enough to take a rack top bag? I've got the standard Velocity rack which is too narrow at 45mm. Thanks.

Internal width

Hello, I use 26*1.75 tires which would be good according to the manufactuer's claim, but I was wondering if there would be enough space left for 60mm wide full lenght mudguards.

Could you please state the internal width of the rack?

The internal width of this rack is 50mm so you would unfortunately not be able to fit a set of 60mm guards.

Height from bottom hole to platform please?

I like a close fitting carrier and some are very tall. What's the height from the fitting hole at the bottom of the legs up to the platform? Thanks.

Could You Tell Me The Width Between The Lower Mounting Points?

I have a hybrid disk brake bike, but the disks are inboard and so I think I could get away with a non-disk specific rack. The width between the lower mounting bosses on my seat stays is just about 20cm (outside to outside)

(I just bought a Tortec Transalpine for my other bike: great product and I'm looking for something similar for my commuter bike)

Could You Provide The Width Measurements Of The Rack?

I'm looking to use this with a Hamax Caress rack-mounted child seat, but it specifies a minimum width of 120mm for the top platform. Is the Velocity Hybrid wide enough?

Will It Work With Tortec P-Clips

In theory this bike could be use with p-clips instead of eyelets but it would not be as stable so the maximum load you'd be able to carry would be reduced.

Will This Rack Fit A 700C Road Bike With Disc Brakes?

Although this rack is designed for use with 700c bikes, it has not been designed for use with disc brakes, so unfortunately it is unlikely it will fit on your bike I'm afraid.
