A lighter weight version of the Thorn Expedition Steel Rear Rack. This rack has the same shape and features but is made with slightly thinner tubing for a lighter weight.
We have our tubes heat treated which makes a significant difference to the Ultomate Tensile Strength but can cause some slight imperfections in the straightness. When fitting, please be aware you might need to tweak the rack slightly but we can assure you this does not affect the strenght in any way.

- Made from 10mm seamless, cold drawn, heat treated, aerospace Cr-Mo steel
- Rear light mount
- 380mm long x 130mm wide
- 350mm height from lower mounting bolt to rack top
Max load when used on surfaced roads:30kg and on rough roads 15 kg

Will the rack fit?

My bike frame width at the rear axle is 170mm (thru axle) , I have 700c x43mm tyres and 55mm mudguards.

This carrier has been specifically designed to be used with either 6mm or 5mm bosses, hardware for both provided.
This should work fine with your axle dimensions of 170mm, tyre fitment of 700 x 43mm & guards of 55mm.

Can I use this with a thorn club mk4 with a rear disc brake

Yes you can, the Rack is a universal fit, you will need to trim the seat stay braces to fit.
