I bought two of these for my wife and daughters bikes . both were easy to set up one on a 10year old Orbit the other on a brand new alloy framed cube hybrid . Very robust with quailty up with tubus id expect many years of use and abuse from shopping to touring and at budget price for what you could class an experdition rack

I fitted this to a Trek Triton which has a short chainstay (41.3 cm) and it did fit without interfering with the brake cable (dual pivot). It was solid when used with 2 Ortlieb bags filled with shopping. However, it is a heavy rack and weighs 920g (I weighed it myself) with fittings. For some serious touring it would be a worthy rack but for commuting and lighter loads it is overkill and you will definitely notice the weight.
