Tubus' Duo used to be a Tara, until Tubus made it "bow-free". If your fork has inside and outside eyelets, then the Duo is your choice carrier. Duo and Tara tolerate extreme loads and almost all panniers.

ConsNot a huge amount of latitude on fixing.
ProsSolid. A great option if you don’t want a pannier rack over the top of your front wheels
I bought these for a Genesis CDF20. Bit of a leap of faith as I couldn’t quite work out whether the geometry of the forks would take the racks (but I had confidence in SJS’s excellent returns procedure). They fit - just with a few spacers. They feel very solid and well made. Not cheap but good value for a quality product.

From checking some photos of that bike, the stock fork has no mounts for fitting a rack.

Will this fit a Dawes Karakum?

Hi.

Will the Tubus Duo fit my Dawes Karakum (2017 model, has braze-ons on inside and outside of fork).

Also, which would you recommend, the Tubus Duo of Tara? Are there any advantages/disadvantages of one over the other?

Hi there, either should fit no problem, the Tara fits to the inside and outside of the fork and therefore should be slightly stiffer once fitted. The Duo also offers a loop which many use to fit their front lights to.
