Elegant and sturdy rack

ProsRelatively light, allows close panniers for stability

A sturdy and handsome stainless steel rack, narrower than the Cosmo so bags sit closer to the central line of the bike. Bags sit canted-in slightly, closer to the wheel as they near the seatpost/rider. Fitted to an Olsen frame without eyelets so I used the Tubus through axle with some long titanium bolts to carry the load into the axle. I needed to use an old Tubus extension kit to raise the rack as the top was touching the tyre ( perhaps due to frame geometry and large volume tyres).I also used the seat stay clamp kit. The bike is running 55mm gravel tyres which fit with safe clearance -but not with mudguards -on my xc/gravel frame.
