I hoping to replace my worn 11-32T with this 11-34T, will it work with my old (but trusty) STX RC mc38 rear derailleur? Also can you advise me on a compatible chain that will run with both parts, im a little confused regarding correct chain widths..?

Hello,
Shimano states the chain model used with your rear mech should be the CN-IG51 chain- which is a 3/32" chain. When looking for a chain for the RC-MC38 any 7/8 speed chain will work absolutely fine.

I BELIEVE you have the RD-M565 rear mech, the max sprocket size is 32, so I suggest you don't risk it and buy the Shimano CS-HG50 8 Speed Cassette - 11-32T (SJS Cycles part number : 34911) OR buy this cassette AND a Shimano Acera RD-M360 Megarange Smart Cage 8 Speed Rear Derailleur - Black (SJS Cycles part number : 44850) the SRAM PC850 3/32 Inch 7 / 8 Speed Chain - Grey 114 Links (SJS Cycles part number : 15326) RT

Can I replace an 11-30T cassette with this one if I'm using a Claris derailleur?

I think the Claris derailleur has a medium cage but I'm not 100% sure.

I am thinking of changing my current 11-34 cassette to a 11-34 one. Which derailuers would be best suited for this increase in capacity? I currently use a 50/38 on the front with ultra bar end shifters.

Replacing a worn out CS HG30-8 with an 11-32T range and a Shimano Acera deralieur. Will this (or the 11-32 version) work as a replacement?
