This Lock Ring & Spacer can only be used with Shimano Ultegra CS-6500 9 speed 11-21T & 11-23T cassettes.

These cassettes require the Shimano TL-HG16 Lock Ring Removal Tool.

Genuine Shimano replacement part.

Missing lock ring solves problem.

ProsLow cost, perfect fit, full use of all sprockets.
When using a sprocket cassette with an 11 tooth smallest sprocket, the correct diameter lock ring is required to avoid the chain hitting the lock ring and skipping. The previous lock ring was for a 12 tooth sprocket, too large to work! New lock ring, problem solved!
