What are your thoughts on using narrow wide chainring for rohloff touring drivetrain?

I have today learned of narrow wide chainrings.
I wonder if using one would improve chain life, give smoother running and make chain tension less critical on my RavenTour mk1 and Raven Sport Tour? Any issues or benefits that you are aware of?

Converted to 1x11 but need a narrow wide chainring.

Hi, I am trying to covert my triple to a single. Will this chainring work with my Shimano Alivio 96mm BCD chainset? If not is there another narrow wide that will? Thanks
