For 110pcd double inner fitments.

TA only make their chainrings from the best 7075 T6 heat treated aluminium sheet. The teeth are cut in the traditional manner on a lathe which produces a much better and more accurate tooth form than pressing which is used by most chainring manufacturers.

Hi, I have a Shimano FC R700 50/34 compact chainset and I would like to know if I can replace the inner and outer chain rings with Shimano FC-RS 500 5arm 110mm BCD 50T and a TA Zephyr 5arm 110 BCD 34T chain rings?
If these are not compatible what would you advise?

We have never used it with that groupset, as this is designed for 9/10 speed we would not expect it to work very well.

I have an FSA Gossamer 46/36 chainset but really need a smaller inner ring. I'm currently using a 34T from a 9 speed, which works most of the time.

Hi, if your 9 speed works then this should too as it's 9 / 10 speed. The issue we would expect is the 11 speed chain being to narrow for the chainring so it doesn't seat down into the teeth properly. Thanks.

Would This Ring Fit As An Inner Ring On An 8 Speed.

Required for fast touring and lots of climbing with full panniers. Current set up 34/46 with a Shimano Acera long cage derallier and 34/46 which works like a dream! Just need a slightly smaller inner. I imagine a 33 is as small as you can go on a 110 BCD.

Hi,

Although this ring is designed normally for 9 and 10spd chains as an inner ring it should not have too much of an effect if you chose to use it with an 8spd chain. Most companies only go as small as 34, but 33 is definitely the smallest ring you can fit onto a 110BCD spider.
