What is the pin length?

I have a Thorn Raven tandem. I am having trouble with the chains clashing on the double chainring below the stoker. Most chains seem to be 7.1mm pin length. The chain I have (from SJS) is 6.5mm. Is the KMC Z1 narrow the correct chain?

Currently on tandems and hub gear Thorns we use the KMC E-1 chains which have a pin length of 6.7mm, if you are having problem with rubbing it might be worth speaking to the Thorn team on 01278 441505 SK 18/05/23
