is ity possible to have a 30 (or 32) inner chainring on a Stronglight double chainset?

Thank you for your enquiry. The smallest inner chainring available in 110mm BCD with a 5 arm fitting is 33 teeth made by TA, these are our part numbers 38044 for Black & 38047 for Silver.

Will this work with Campag 10 speed?

I have a Campag Veloce 10spd which is too high for me. I want to reduce the overall ratios and this looks like it might fit the bill. I will need to replace the bottom bracket as well but need to be sure that it will work with the Veloce shifters and front derailleur.

This should work, but we have not personally tested it, it is possible the shifting will not be as good as when using a Campagnolo chainset.

Can I use this on a Brompton?

I've read a lot of forums where people have replaced the Brompton chainring with a double Stronglight one (usually 50/34). I don't need a 50 and I'm worried what effect such as big gap will have on the chain. But this one seems perfect. Could you please tell me whether it will fit and if you are able to ship it to Japan. Thanks very much.

We have no experience of this specific chainset on a brompton, as usual with a double you need to take into account that the tensioner is designed for a specific application.

The chainset is designed for use with 9 speed, so the shifting/smoothness of the drive would be less than optimal.
I would recommend - SJS Cycles part number : 32409L170
- This does use an Octalink bottom bracket though.

This chainset was originally designed with 9 and 10spd chains in mind so although in theory it would still work with an 11spd chain it would not shift as well as a dedicated 11spd chainset.
