Dust cap for use with Chater Lea cranksets. PVD Brass finish. Made from machined 316 stainless steel.

PVD Coating:
Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) is a process utilising powerful magnetic fields to apply an extremely uniform and ultra thin coating to a component. The PVD coating is a super hard, corrosion resistant layer of Titanium Nitride around 2 microns thick. The PVD process vaporises the Titanium Nitride allowing it to be electrically applied to the component with extreme adhesion. It is in fact nearly as hard as sapphire, itself second only to diamond in hardness.
