Hi
Thank you for your enquiry. The chainrings on this chainset are both steel, I hope this helps.

Can I use this to replace my 9-speed Dura-Ace crankset please?
By

The 39/53 rings I have are too tall for my old legs. It is a carbon Trek 5500, limited adjustment for the front mech.

Thanks, Richard
Hi, in theory yes. The Dura Ace mech spec'd has a capacity of 16 teeth from inner to outer ring. You should have a 103mm bottom bracket for the Dura Ace chainset. The spoiler will be if Trek have put the braze-on a little to high but you won't know that untill you attempt the setup. Thanks 2/8/19

Could this replace a 9speed capagnolo veloce chainset please?
By

Yes, this would be suitable for a 9spd Campagnolo set up.

Thanks
Will this work on a 2x10 drive?

Hi,

This chainset is designed for 9 speed so a 10 speed chain will be too narrow.

Thanks
Chain Compatibility
By
24 Aug 2016
Hi,

is this compatible with 7-speed chain?
Hi,

This chainset is originally designed for use with 9spd chains so although in theory it is possible to use a 7spd chain it is unlikely that it will shift that well.

Thanks.
Chainline Measurement

Hi,

what is the chainline measurement in mm using the recommended 103mm bottom bracket?

Thank you!
Hi,

With the 103mm bottom bracket this chainset gives a chainline of 43.5mm.

Thanks.

Hi,

Sunrace recommend a 103mm bottom bracket for use with this chainset. This bottom bracket length gives a Q-factor of 158mm. Both chainrings are steel but the arms are forged 6061 Aluminium.

Thanks.
